Kathmandu, Nov 6: The ruling CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress (NC) have formed a mechanism to ensure the systematic and effective operation of three-tier governments.
According to CPN (UML) leader and head of the party’s publicity department, Rajendra Gautam, the eight-member mechanism was formed two days ago, consisting of four leaders from the UML and four from the Nepali Congress.
UML’s Senior Vice-Chairperson Ishwor Pokharel, Vice-Chairperson and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel, General-Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, Deputy General-Secretary and Political Advisor to the Prime Minister, Bishnu Rimal, along with NC’s Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General-Secretary Gagan Thapa, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba are part of the mechanism.
Additionally, Gautam said that the mechanism will be expanded to include three members in the provinces and a two-member mechanism in districts. #nepal
