Kathmandu, May 4: The CPN-UML has decided to urge the government to bring an actionable budget. Concrete and result-oriented budget is the need of hour, according to UML Deputy General Secretary, Pradip Gyawali.
Gyawali shared it after the standing committee meeting of the party held at central office, Chyasal, Lalitpur on Sunday. The allocation of resources was in mess and plans all scattered in the past,” he reminded, adding that the party wishes an actionable budget correcting past mistakes.
The federal budget needs to focus on national level projects, while the sub-national governments are there to look after project at lower levels. The entrepreneurship and tech skills of Gen-Z needs recognition to which the meeting stressed, leader Gyawali shared.
The deputy general secretary of UML further informed that production and productivity focused budget can bring changes in sectors ranging from agriculture to technology and income to saving.
Moreover, other areas to pay heed are the funding cuts which may increase further in the wake of changing geopolitics. Projects and plans should be prepared and put in place accordingly, he viewed.
He also suggested the government that it prioritized good governance, corruption control and maximum use of resources.#nepal #political #rss
