USA set target of 263 runs in ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 clash

Kathmandu, Oct 26: The United States (USA) has set a target of 263 runs for Nepal in the crucial ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 match.

Batting first after losing the toss at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the U.S. posted 262 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

For the USA, opener Smit Patel top-scored with 75 runs off 100 balls, hitting nine fours.

Similarly, Milind Kumar played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 70 runs off 50 balls, including six fours and two sixes, while Saiteja Mukkamalla contributed 42 runs off 58 balls with three fours and one six.

After losing two wickets for 48 runs, Patel and Mukkamalla shared a crucial 95-run partnership for the third wicket, putting the USA in a strong position. The team seemed set for a big total until Patel was run out in the 33rd over and Mukkamalla fell in the 35th over, which put them under pressure.

However, Milind Kumar’s composed innings helped the USA post a competitive total, adding 32 runs in the last two overs.

For Nepal, Sandeep Lamichhane took two wickets, while Sompal Kami, Aarif Sheikh, and Dipendra Singh Airee claimed one wicket each. #nepal #ICC
