Kathmandu, March 27: The verdict of the much hyped case against Nepali national cricket team leg spinner Sandeep Lamichhane has been postponed. The hearing of the case scheduled in the Kathmandu District Court was adjourned at the request of Sandeep’s lawyer.
Sandeep’s appearance was fixed in the bench of Judge Madhav Prasad Ghimire. Earlier, in Ghimire’s courtroom, an order was issued to send Sandeep to jail pending trial.
However, although the Kathmandu District Court remanded the case to pre-trial detention, the Patan High Court released Sandeep on conditional bail of Rs 20 lakhs. Lamichhane is facing a rape charges case.
