Water boat operative in Shova Taal



Kanchanpur, July 19: Water boats have been brought into operation at Shova Taal at Belauri Municipality-5 in Kanchhanpur district to promote tourism.

Five water boats were procured to operate in the lake in conditional grant of the federal government to attract more internal and external tourists in the Shova Taal, a lake.

There are altogether five lakes including Shova Taal within eight hectare of area of Shova Taal.

To further beautify the area surrounding Shova Taal, the local municipality is installing a statue of Lord Buddha besides running fishery in two lakes, said Deputy Mayor Jogaram Chaudhary.

A swimming pool has also been built in the Shiva Taal area for tourists, it was shared.

Over Rs 250 million has already been spent in construction of infrastructures in Shova Taal area, shared Deputy Mayor Chaudhary, adding that the place features selfie area with a big wing, conference hall, guest house, resting places, footpath and theatre to stage programmes.

Tourists can visit the Shova Taal area without any fees, according to Chaudhary. They, however, have to pay a nominal fee for boating, he mentioned.

The local municipality is mulling mobilizing security personnel for the safety of the visitors and security for the tourist place, it was told.
