We are prepared to get corrected, Maoist Centre Chairman tells public in Nepalgunj

Banke, April 3: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that his party’s leadership has reached the people’s settlements along the Postal Highway to take stock of the their living condition and their aspirations.

We wanted to hear from the people by taking shelter in their houses,” the Maoist Centre chief said at a civic interaction programme organized by his party in Nepalgunj on Thursday.

Stating that his party resumed the Tarai-Madhes Awakening Programme along the Postal Highway to hear from the people and strengthen party relations with them, Prachanda admitted that his party leadership has come to the grassroots as it failed to grasp the public aspirations in the past.

We made mistakes in the past after being encircled by the leaders and cadres. Now, we won’t rely on the reports of leaders and cadres. So, we have directly come to the people to hear from them. We are prepared to get corrected. We will correct our moves and will strengthen our ties with people,” Prachanda vowed.

Prachanda stated that the regressive forces have raised their powers out of public frustration due to the political parties and leaders’ wrongdoings. He also argued that all republican forces should work responsibly adding that a serious crisis could occur in the country if the situation turned worse.

Likewise, the Maoist Centre Chair termed the Tinkune incident that happened on March 28 as the character of royalists. “But, we responded to them in a peaceful manner. We countered them by waging campaign against regression,” he added.

Maoist Centre’s Banke district coordinator Narendra Pandey, chair of Nepalgunj Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tanka Dhami, former chairs Krishna Prasad Shrestha and Abdul Wahid Mansuri, chief of Mahendra Multiple Campus Lalmani Acharya, activist Bhola Mahat and several other speakers expressed their views at the event suggesting the leaders and political parties to mend their ways. #nepal #political #rss
