Kathmandu, March 5: The Westerly low pressure system has its partial impact in Nepal at present. The weather is partly cloudy in the hilly region of the country and mainly fair in the rest of the regions presently.
Meteorologist Saroj Pudasaini informed RSS that Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces including the hilly areas of the country will witness partly cloudy while the rest of the regions mainly fair weather in the afternoon today.
Pudasaini said there are chances of light snowfall in one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Karnali provinces. According to him, there is no possibility of rainfall and the weather will be mostly fair today. Meteorologist Pudasaini said it will be cloudy from tonight.
The atmospheric temperature of Kathmandu Valley is 14 degrees Celsius now and visibility is six kilometres. The minimum temperature today was 7.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum is expected to remain between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.
Similarly, the weather will be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly region of the country including in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces while mainly fair in the rest of the regions tonight.
There is possibility of light snowfall at a few places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces tonight, said the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
