KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that his party will join the coalition government.
In the first media conference organised by his party today after getting a letter of certificate from the Election Commission of Nepal on Wednesday evening, Chairman Nepal, who is also the former Prime Minister, said that his party would soon join the government adding that he was also involved in the five-party alliance.
“Our party CPN (Unified Socialist) will cooperate with all leftist-democratic parties. Our cooperation will continue with Congress, Maoist Centre and Janata Samajwadi Party,” Chairman Nepal added.
He was of the view that cooperation will continue with the communist forces that are not in the power.
Stating that his party would work with devotion to the country and the people, Chair Nepal said that his party won’t be confined to petty interests and ill-practices.
On the occasion, he pledged to work for nationality, democratic republic and people’s interests adding that his party would run in line with the revolutionary spirit that will firmly grasp the aspirations of people and activists.
The leader of newly-formed party, Nepal said that he was one of the founding members of the CPN (UML) while adding that he established new political party to advance Nepal’s communist movement by relinquishing the ill-practices seen inside the party.
