Women’s Asia Cup: Nepal lost to India by 82 runs



Kathmandu, July 23: Nepal lost to India by 82 runs in the last group stage match played at Dambulla Cricket Stadium of Sri Lanka today evening.

With the defeat, Nepal ends it’s Asia Cup journey while India and Pakistan both entered the Semifinal.

In the last group group stage match, the defending champion India beat Nepal by 82 runs. Nepal was restricted to 96 with the loss of 9 wickets.

However, many appreciated the performance of Nepali women team. The team survived for 20 overs without losing all wickets.

Earlier, winning the toss, India batted first and managed to score 178 runs in the bouncy and slow pitch.

Opening pairs Shafali Verma and D Hemalatha scored 81 and 47 runs respectively.
