16 families displaced due to flood, landslide



Darchula, July 5 : As many as 16 families have been displaced in Darchula due to landslide.

The disaster related incident has rendered the families of Marma rural municipality homeless. A landslide occurred on the road linking Murai Golfa through Marma evicted some families, informed Chief District Officer Yagya Raj Joshi.

The displaced families now are taking shelter at the homes of their relatives. Marma rural municipality chairperson Jaman Singh Dhami informed that 99 persons rendered displaced due to landslide were shifted to safer shelter at a local Tatinath Primary School.

Rainfall has been incessantly taking place in Darchula since Thursday.
