KATHMANDU: Another 53 people have died across the country from the coronavirus infection within 24 hours. Similarly, COVID-19 infection has been confirmed in 8,418 people.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 17,315 samples were tested for RT-PCR and 989 antigen test were carried out.
Likewise, the number of active COVID-19 infections in Nepal has reached 83,493 and the total number of infected people has reached 385,890. The number of deaths has reached 3,632.
Of the active infected, 78,018 are in home isolation, according to the ministry. Similarly, 5,475 people are in institutional isolation. 758 infected people are being treated in ICU and 231 in ventilator.
Infection in Kathmandu Valley
Of the newly infected, 3,113 are from Kathmandu Valley. Of them, 2,270 are from Kathmandu, 462 from Lalitpur and 381 in Bhaktapur district.
