Kathmandu: Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), along with his accompanying delegation, paid a courtesy call on Hon. Foreign Minister of Nepal Mr. Shisir Khanal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
During the meeting, the two ministers exchanged views on further strengthening Nepal–UAE bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment, artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, tourism, labour migration, infrastructure development, and renewable energy.
The two sides also discussed opportunities to increase Sovereign Wealth Fund investment from the UAE in Nepal’s priority sectors.

Foreign Minister Khanal highlighted the long-standing friendship and growing cooperation between Nepal and the UAE, expressing Nepal’s aspiration to make the upcoming Golden Jubilee celebration of diplomatic relations a significant milestone by attracting UAE investment in various development projects in Nepal.
He urged the UAE government to support Nepal’s development priorities through increased investment and partnerships in key sectors.
During the meeting, Foreign Minister Khanal also requested the UAE government to remove the requirement for further verification of Police Reports after they have already been attested by Nepal’s Department of Consular Services. #nepal
