KATHMANDU: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products.
The Corporation has increased the price of cooking gas by NRs 25 to NRs 1,400 with effective from 12 mid-night today.
The Corporation said in a statement on Wednesday that it had increased petrol, diesel and kerosene prices by NRs 2 per liter.
According to the new price, petrol has been fixed at NRs 112 per liter and diesel and kerosene at Rs 95 per liter.
The corporation has said that the price of aviation fuel would remain same.
According to the press release published on Wednesday evening, the NOC has clarified that the Indian Oil Corporation has sent a new rate on February 1, 2021. The new rate have been increased as against the previous rate.
The NOC has further said that the NOC will have to incur loss of nearly NRs 2 billion per month if the prices could not be adjusted.
