KATHMANDU: The ruling CPN (UML) has decided to field Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ as its candidate in the upcoming National Assembly by-election.
UML has decided to nominate the newly appointed standing committee member and Home Minister Badal. Earlier, Badal, who was elected from the CPN (Maoist Centre), lost his post of National Assembly member after the party took action against him.
The Election Commission had fixed the date of by-election for the vacant post of the National Assembly. The Commission has fixed May 20 for the election.
