COVID-19: 55 people died, 7,660 infected with coronavirus in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: A total of 55 people died of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection on Tuesday. The Ministry of Health and Population released a statement on Tuesday afternoon stating that the death toll rose to 55 in the last 24 hours.

That’s 18 more people died on Monday. Earlier, 37 people died on Monday and 27 on Sunday.

Three thousand 417 people have died in Nepal due to COVID-19 infection till Tuesday. Coronavirus infection has been confirmed in 7,660 people in the last 24 hours.

As of Tuesday, the number of active infected people across the country is 59,798. Out of which 55,520 are in home isolation and 4,278 are in institutional isolation. On Tuesday, 616 people are being treated in ICU and 179 in ventilator.

As of Tuesday, the number of coronavirus infections in Nepal has reached 351,005. Out of which, two lakh 87 thousand 790 people have recovered.
