NEPSE fall by double digits, trade of Rs 17 billion

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, has declined by double digits on Wednesday. The NEPSE index has dropped by 13.56 points to 2946.58 points on Wednesday after the sharp fluctuations seen throughout the day.

The Sensitive Index, which measures Class A transactions, declined by 2.83 points. There is still excitement in the transaction amount. A total of 31.354 million shares of 221 companies have been traded from 155,239 transactions during the day. Out of which, the transaction amount has reached Rs. 16.99 billion.

Investors of Nepal Insurance Company have earned a lot on Wednesday. The company’s share price has gained 9.95 percent to Rs 1,006.

The second is United Modi Hydropower Company and the third is Ridhi Hydropower Company. Similarly, the share prices of Arun Valley Hydropower, CEDB Hydropower, Barun Hydropower, Pokhara Finance and Prabhu Insurance rose by more than 9 percent.

Among the biggest losers are United Mardi, Mahalakshmi Development Bank, Shine Resunga Development Bank, Miteri Development Bank, Garima Development Bank and Lumbini Development Bank.
