NC leader Sangroula came up with new book, “Congressko Abako Bato”

KATHMANDU: A book titled “Congressko Abako Bato (Way forward of Nepali Congress)” has been released here in Kathmandu today. The book is written by Central Member of Nepali Congress and Member of Parliament Dr Dila Sangroula. Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today released the book in a special program.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Deuba said that the book released on the eve of the party’s general convention would be a guide for the party leaders and cadres. “This book could be a source of inspiration for the Congress at the party’s 14th general convention,” he said. Stating that Dr. Sangraula is a strong woman fighting for women’s rights within the party, Deuba wished further success to the book.

The author of the book, Dr. Sangraula, said that a wide-ranging debate and discussion was needed within the party on the occasion of the 14th General Convention. “I am determined to transform the party and empower women through books,” she said.

Vice Chancellor of Pokhara University Professor Prem Narayan Aryal said that the party have to address several emerging issues and it’s leadership should overcome those challenges.

Dr. Uddhav Kharel, associate professor at Tribhuvan University, said that the book has vividly explored the history of Nepali Congress as well. “The book will be useful for those who want to know and understand the Congress.”

The book presents a brief history of the Nepali Congress, ideological clarity, achievements, the way forward, the Congress in the grip of nationalism, the Congress desired by the people, the leaders of invaluable contributions and the agendas of the 14th General Convention.
