KATHMANDU: The Police Welfare Fund today handed Rs 20 million to Nepal Police Hospital for the treatment of families of police personnel.
The facility also covers the families of ex-police. Inspector General of Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri handed a cheque of the amount to hospital medical director, technical AIG Dr Asha Singh amidst a function held on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the hospital today.
IGP Thapa also inaugurated a waiting room for ex-police officers on the premises of the hospital.
Nepal Police Wives Association chair Sirjana Thapa handed an ultrasound and a physiotherapy machine to the hospital on behalf of the Association.
