KATHMANDU: Nepali students pursuing higher education in various universities of China will be able to return to China.
According to the information published by the Nepal’s Ministry of Education on Friday, the students will be able to return to China in a phase wise manner. Many Nepali students had returned to Nepal due to panic after the outbreak of Covid-19 in China. However, Nepali students were unable to return to China despite their continuous demand.
Government of Nepal had repeatedly urged and requested the Chinese authorities to consider the plight of students.
According to the information issued by the Ministry, 281 Nepali students will get the opportunity to continue their studies in the first phase. However, a large number of Nepali students are still waiting to return to China.
The ministry has also requested the selected students to re-apply for visas as soon as possible.
