Bagmati, July 21: The Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City has announced that an e-library will be operated in the sub-metropolis.
It has been announced in the local government’s policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2026-27.
It is said the facility named ‘City E-Library’ will be launched for the purpose of building a knowledge-based society.
According to mayor Meena Kumari Lama, review of teachers’ quotas, merge schools or downsize them will be continued in this fiscal year, too.
Likewise, it has to uphold the provision of ‘teachers’ bank system’ implemented to address the vacuum in teaching and learning activities when teacher posts turn vacant.
Similarly, the local government is to continue with the provision of maternity substitute teacher system to compensate for the learning loss while female teachers are on maternity leave.
Mayor Lama said that the arrangements will be made for ensuring health check-ups of all students through the mobilization of health posts, urban health centers, urban health promotion centers, hospitals and school nurses.
The local government has pledged to make institutional arrangements required for ensuring the learning of children with special conditions and diverse needs due to anxiety, autism, intellectual disability, and Down syndrome.
The Sub-Metropolitan City has stated that the scholarship distribution process provided by institutional schools will be made more systematic and transparent.
In addition, scholarships, along with educational material support, will be provided to students from marginalized communities to help them continue their studies. #nepal #rss
