Kathmandu: The discussion on the Nepal Citizenship (first amendment) Bill 2079 will continue at the National Assembly meeting tomorrow as well.
Chairperson of the National Assembly, Ganesh Prasad Timalsina informed that the discussion will continue in the next meeting because the lawmakers registering their name for deliberation did not get turn on Thursday. The NA would meet next on Friday afternoon.
Taking part in the deliberation, lawmaker Jitendra Narayan Dev accused the major opposition of playing politics on the bill. He wondered why the issue of ‘marital naturalized citizenship’ was not surfaced when the erstwhile government brought the ordinance on the citizenship bill. He argued that bill was brought as per constitution.
