Dhading, Aug 19: A total of 26 passengers were injured in a passenger bus accident near Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-9 Hugdikhola in Dhading under Prithvi Highway.
The Bagmati Pradesh 03-001 Kha 2675 bus coming from Tulsipur Dang towards Kathmandu got out of control this morning around 5 am and overturned on the right side of the road. Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office Dhading Santulal Prasad Jaiswar informed that five people who were injured in the accident have been sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
The other injured are being treated at Malekhu Highway Hospital and nearby health institutions.
According to Jaiswar, the injured Rajendra Pun, 24, of Salyan Sabeshwari-3, his son Ashish KC, 6, and Man Bahadur Khadka, 50, of Baghchaur Municipality-10, Salyan district, are in serious condition. Nepal Police personnel and locals rescued the passengers.
