Kathmandu, Jan 1: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said democracy has no option but to an advanced democracy.
Addressing a programme organized by the NC on 48th national unity and reconciliation day on Monday, the former Prime Minister said that efforts are ongoing to create murky environment against democracy and urged one and all to remain aware to that end.
“Despite competition and ideological differences among the political parties in Nepal, they share a single stance on the issue of democracy. This is a good practice. This is rare,” Deuba said.
On the occasion, Deuba stated that NC founding member BP Koirala’s policy has good impacts on the agenda of nationality and described BP as a towering leader from the small country.
Recalling that BP returned home by risking his life amid country’s difficult times, Deuba stated that BP’s ideology, national unity and reconciliation policy were equally relevant today. #Nepal
