Kathmandu, Jan 12: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said there are many areas with possibilities in Nepal and sports sector is one amongst them with immense possibilities.
Inaugurating the Fourth National Wado-ryu Open Karate Championship organized by Nepal Wado-ryu Karate Do association here today, PM Dahal mentioned that Nepal has much potential in sports. In this connection, he stated that Nepali sportspersons have produced good results in the national and international competitions, including the South Asian Karate Championship recently-concluded in Nepal, the Fifth South Asian Championship held in Bangladesh and the 19th edition of the Asian Games.
“Nepal is a country full of copious possibilities. We have abundant possibilities for the country’s development and progress. Among them, sports is a sector carrying better potential. The progress Nepal has achieved in sports sector in the last decade also proves this reality. Therefore, I have attached the utmost importance to the development of sports sector during my third term in office,” the Prime Minister reiterated. RSS
