Biratnagar, June 15: The Koshi province government has unveiled its annual budget today with determination to build a ‘clean, happy and prosperous’ province.
The province government has unveiled the budget of Rs 35.28 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82 BS.
As informed, the gross domestic product (GDP) of Koshi province is estimated to be Rs 903 billion in the current fiscal year. The per capita income of the province has increased from $934 to $1,336.
In the current fiscal year, electricity generation in Koshi has increased from 121 MW to 577 MW and 97.7 percent of the population has access to electricity.
The Koshi province government has allocated Rs 35.27 billion for the implementation of policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year. Agriculture, infrastructure and urban development, drinking water, irrigation and energy drinking water have been given priority by the province government.
Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Magar Ram Bahadur Magar tabled the annual estimates of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2081÷82 BS, the finance bill and the appropriation bill in the House. #nepal #rss
