Kathmandu, July 4: One of the two under-construction tunnels at Lendanda along the Kathmandu-Tarai Expressway has been accomplished. The Lendanda tunnel is at Gadhi rural municipality of Makawanpur.
According to the Nepali Army, the tunnel is 1,612 meters long.
Chief of Army Staff, Prabhuram Sharma, virtually observed the breakthrough of tunneling under the construction managed by the Nepali Army. He expressed his happiness that the tunnel was opened on time.
CoAS thanked all the agencies and individuals who worked in the construction of this national pride project. He praised the diligence and efficiency of the workforce engaged in the project and directed to complete the remaining tasks within the stipulated time.
The virtual event was attended by the high officials of the Nepali Army.
