Kathmandu, July 24: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli visited Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) today to take stock of the Saurya Airlines plane crash earlier this morning.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has confirmed the deaths of 18 individuals in the incident that occurred while the plane was taking off for Pokhara.
Prior to Prime Minister Oli’s visit, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Badri Pandey, and State Affairs Committee President Ramhari Khatiwada reached TIA following the crash.
It said the captain of the plane who was rescued has been injured in the crash and is under treatment.
