Kathmandu, Aug 8: The Nepali Congress has expressed its belief that the activities in Bangladesh would make headway to peace and democratic process soon as per the sentiment of the Bangladeshi people in the wake of recently developed situation there.
The central working committee meeting of NC began from Wednesday urged the government to be more vigilant so that the Nepali students and other Nepali citizens living in Bangladesh would not be affected from the recent development.
Similarly, the meeting decided to approve the decisions of central work execution committee held on July 3 and 13, said NC Party Office Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel.
Extending sorrow over Air Dynasty chopper crash killing five people on Wednesday, the meeting paid tribute to the decreased ones. Likewise, central committee member and Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba informed the meeting about the recently developed scenario in Bangladesh, UK, Israel and Lebanon and she was in regular contact of Nepalese there.
During the meeting chaired by President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Vice-President Purna Bahadur Khadka, General-Secretaries—Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma—presented the proposals with amendment on the basis of suggestions received from Mahasamiti meeting held in Lalitpur from February 19-22. #nepal #bangladesh #Congress
