Kathmandu, Dec 12, 2019 : An aftershock measuring 4.8 in the Richter scale was recorded with its epicenter around Sremthang of Sindhupalchowk. The aftershock went at 7:11 pm this evening, according to the Department of Mines and Geology, Seismological Centre.
Senior seismologist at the Centre Bharat Koirala said this was an aftershock of the 2015 earthquake. The jolt of the aftershock was felt in Kathmandu and surrounding districts.
More than 537 aftershocks measuring above 4 Richter scale have been recorded since the 2015 Gorkha earthquake, according to the centre.
