Kathmandu, Oct 2: Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has said that the due payments for the completed projects and the payment requested after completion of the due process has not been stopped.
Finance Minister Paudel told a delegation of Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal that went to submit a memorandum today demanding payment from the government, that about Rs. 20 billion rupees has already been released as payments for the contractors.
Stating that there is problem in some projects due to multi-year contracts without assurance of funds, Finance Minister Paudel clarified that the payment of projects which have been completed and which are in the process of completion will not be stopped.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Paudel also requested the contractors to maintain the quality of the development projects and to complete the construction within the specified time.#contractors #nepal #finance
