Pokhara, Feb 2: Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the party leaders and cadres to be united and make organization dynamic so that the NC would be able to secure majority of seats in the coming general election.
Inaugurating the 3rd conference of NC Pokhara municipal committee here Sunday, NC President Deuba said activism in the party on time would help collect maximum votes.
He also urged all sides concerned to keep intact the beauty of Pokhara city for attracting domestic and foreign tourists continuously. The infrastructure building and operation of the Pokhara International Airport are equally essential to boost tourism, leader Deuba argued.
On the occasion, Joint General Secretary of the party, Mahalaxmi Upadhyay, underlined the need for keeping in centre the party and country and launch movement to consolidate party organization.
Another Joint General Secretary Jeevan Pariyar said the municipal committee chair of party could be named general convention representative by amending the party statute. He said the foundational level of party requires a strong presence for entire party building.
NC Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat asked the party cadres to utilize social networks for publicity of party activities and campaigns.
Moreover, central member of the party and Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pande, said the province government he was leading was working honestly for the cause of province and people.
In view of NC Gandaki Province President Shukraj Sharma, the party needs to move ahead by internalizing the nationality, democracy and socialism. #NepaliCongress #nepal #deuba
