
Kathmandu, March 5: Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut has inaugurated the newly-sculpted Shree Goda Benugopal temple at Maitidevi Chowk in Kathmandu metropolis-29 on Wednesday.
At the special religious ceremony, he said religion inspires one and all to adopt right path which promote good conducts in society. “The religion always helps stand for justice and truth. It is the religion that pushes the people to the path of truth and righteousness”, he argued.
Also speaking on the occasion, former Minister of Bagmati Province, Dipendra Shrestha, said the temple that was constructed by raising donation would be vital in promoting religious tourism.
Various religious programmes, including consecration of statues would be held till March 10. It may be noted that the 2072 BS Gorkha Earthquake had caused damages to the temple that was established in 2022 BS. It was later reconstructed at a cost of around Rs 160 million.
The temple has a public rest house that can accommodate 800 people. Preparation is being made to operate Gurukul from next academic session.#nepal #political #rss
