
Kathmandu, March 15: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state-owned entity, has adjusted fuel prices, reducing the cost of petrol, diesel, and kerosene.
In a meeting held today, the Board of Directors of NOC decided to decrease the retail price of petrol by Rs 5 per liter and diesel and kerosene by Rs 4 per liter, effective midnight tonight.
New prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene:
– Petrol will cost Rs 160.50, Rs 162, and Rs 163 per liter in the first, second, and third categories, respectively.
– Diesel and kerosene will cost as Rs 148.50, Rs 150, and Rs 151 per liter, depending on the category.
According to NOC, the Category 1 includes places as Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalbari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Birgunj. Likewise, Category 2 includes places as Surkhet and Dang while Category 3 includes as Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal.
The price adjustment comes in response to a decrease in the purchasing cost of petroleum products from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), which supplies fuel to Nepal. #nepal #NOC #oil
