Kathmandu, July 6: Meetings of nine different parliamentary committees are taking place today. Under the House of Representatives, the following committees are scheduled to meet:
- Finance Committee
- International Relations and Tourism Committee
- Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee
- Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee
- Women and Social Affairs Committee
- Infrastructure Development Committee
- Education, Health and Information Technology Committee
In addition, the Federalism Enablement and National Concern Committee under the National Assembly is also set to convene.
A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee—a joint committee of the House of Representatives and National Assembly—is also scheduled.
The Finance Committee will hold discussions with members who have registered amendment proposals on the Bill to amend the Bank and Financial Institution Act, 2073.
Similarly, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will discuss amendment proposals on the Nepal Air Services Authority Bill, 2081.
The Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Welfare Committee is set to deliberate on the government-determined quota for the import and distribution of subsidized chemical fertilizers for farmers.
The Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources Committee will hold discussions on contemporary issues.
Meanwhile, the Infrastructure Development Committee will deliberate on the Electricity Bill, 2080, the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Bill, 2081, the Sunkoshi-Marin Diversion Project, and other infrastructure-related matters.
The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will review the report of the sub-committee on the School Education Bill.
Finally, the Federalism Enablement and National Concern Committee will discuss the draft of the onsite monitoring report. #nepal #house
