FNCCI draws attention for ensuring security in business



Kathmandu, Sept 20: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged everyone not to let further worsen the investment environment in the country.

While inspecting the multinational companies, Ncell and Chaudhary Group’s CG Park and Chandragiri Hills, which suffered arson and vandalism during the protests on September 8 and 9, the FNCCI urged all stakeholders not to disturb the investment-friendly environment in the country.

The FNCCI president, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, after the inspection, noted that such incidents have created a situation where the investment environment is deteriorating and urged everyone to take it seriously. He mentioned that during the ‘Gen-Z’ protests, there were arson and vandalism on private properties affecting daily production and employment.

“I urge the government, political parties, and stakeholders to create an investment-friendly environment and ensure security in the country,” he said.

Dhakal further added that private sector contributes more than 81 per cent to Nepal’s economy and over 86 per cent to employment, it is necessary to ensure the protection of industrialists and businessmen to safeguard investments.”

The Federation has earlier drawn the attention of Home Minister and Finance Minister to manage the security as the investors and businessmen were experiencing insecurity of late.#nepal #rss
