Kathmandu, Oct 13: Nepal is invited to bat first in the match against Qatar under the Super Six of the ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup Asia and East Asia Pacific Qualifier underway in Oman.
Qatar’s captain Mirza Mohammad Baig won the toss and invited Nepal to bat first in the match to be held at Oman Cricket Academy Turf-1 in Al Amerat, Oman.
Nepal has secured a place in the Super Six as the winner of Group ‘B’. In the group stage, Nepal defeated Kuwait and Japan. Then, in the first Super Six match, Nepal achieved a thrilling win by defeating the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by one run yesterday.
Nepal will qualify for the World Cup, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka next year If it defeats Qatar today.
The Nepali team comprises captain Rohit Kumar Paudel along with Dipendra Singh Airee, Ashif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Sandeep Jora, Kushal Malla, Gulshan Kumar Jha, Sompal Kami, Nandan Yadav, Mohammad Adil Alam and Sandeep Lamichhane.#nepal 3sport #rss
