Kathmandu, Oct 31: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast an improvement in weather conditions across the country starting Saturday morning.

According to the Department, weather is expected to improve gradually from around 10 a.m. tomorrow as the influence of the ‘Mocha’ cyclonic system moves out of Nepal.

Currently, light to moderate rainfall is occurring in Bagmati Province (including Kathmandu), Gandaki, Koshi, and Madhesh Provinces due to the impact of the cyclone that developed over the Bay of Bengal. Senior meteorologist Barun Paudel said that the effects of the Mocha system are expected to subside gradually from this evening. He added that the influence of the westerly winds and the low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea is also weakening.

There is still a possibility of heavy rainfall at one or two places in Koshi and Madhesh Provinces, while rainfall in Kathmandu and western regions is expected to taper off by the evening. However, cloudy conditions are likely to persist in high Himalayan areas.

Light to moderate rain may continue in some parts of Koshi and Madhesh Provinces until Saturday morning, but the weather is expected to improve across these regions by Saturday afternoon, the Department stated. #nepal #weather
