612 patients benefit from free eye checkup camp in Humla



Humla, Nov 26:  Six hundred and twelve people have benefited from a free eye examination camp conducted in Simkot, the headquarters of Humla district. Among them, 69 individuals received cost-free cataract removal surgery.

Medicines and spectacles were distributed to those in need during the three-day camp, which was organized by the Nepal Netra Jyoti Sangh, Humla Branch, and the Himalaya Eye Hospital Pokhara, with financial and technical support from the Ready Eye Foundation.

A team of ophthalmologists led by Dr. Anil Parajuli from the Himalaya Eye Hospital Pokhara provided services at the camp, which targeted residents of Namkha, Simkot, Kharpunath, Sarkegad, and Chankheli rural municipalities.

Children and senior citizens were among the primary beneficiaries. The Ready Eye Foundation has also announced plans to conduct a similar free eye camp in Adanchuli Rural Municipality.

The Nepal Red Cross Society, Humla Branch, and the District Eye Care Centre also supported and coordinated the event. #eyecamp #eye #treatment
