Feasibility study for tea farming in Surnaya rural municipality



Baitadi, Dec 9: A feasibility study for tea farming has been carried out in three wards of Surnaya rural municipality of Baitadi district.

As per the policy and programme of the rural municipality for the current fiscal year, a team comprising Tea Development Officer from the National Tea and Coffee Development Board of Nepal, Gaurav Luintel, conducted the preliminary feasibility study, said chairperson of the rural municipality, Ammar Bahadur Kunwar.

In the first-phase, the preliminary study was conducted at Dhulidhar and Radigoun of ward no-5, Dhulidhar, Kalalpase, Jitkijuwad and Muse of ward no 6 and Jitkijuwad of ward no 7.

“Officers of the Board have taken the soil from the possible places for the sample test. It will take two weeks to get the report. Further actions would be forwarded after receiving the report,” Kunwar shared. #farmer
