Saudi government approves exit visa to 1,217 Nepalis

Kathmandu: The Saudi government has approved exit visas to 1,217 Nepali workers to return home.

At the request of the Nepali Embassy in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi government has issued exit visas to Nepali workers who do not have an exit visa as they have not been issued or renewed.

Nepalis working in Saudi Arabia must have an exit visa to return home. Workers will be able to return home without the permission of the employer from March 14, 2021. Currently, workers who have problems returning home due to lack of exit visa can apply to the Nepali embassy in Saudi Arabia.

However, while submitting the application to the embassy, it has requested to send it to the embassy only after clearly understanding that Akama’s term is not valid. If there is an issue pending in court, they should apply for an exit visa only after the issue is resolved.

The applicant must return home within two months or 60 days after getting an exit visa.
