1,442 people infected with COVID-19 in 24 hours

KATHMANDU: In the last 24 hours, another 1,442 people have been confirmed infected with the coronavirus in Nepal.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,442 people, including 908 men and 534 women, tested positive for 6,731 samples.

The number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 212,917. Three thousand 538 people have recovered in 24 hours. So far, 182,780 people have returned home after treatment, which is 85.8 percent of the total infected.

Among the total 28,878 active cases, 26,421 are in home isolation, 326 in ICU and 54 in ventilator, according to the ministry.

In Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Kavrepalanchok, Kaski, Dang, Rupandehi, Palpa and Kailali, more than 500 people are actively infected.

Twelve people have died from coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours. At the same time, the number of deaths due to coronavirus in Nepal has reached 1,259.
