Butwal, April 4: Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has welcomed the government’s Private Sector Protection and Promotion Plan (PSPP), stating that it could significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth.
Speaking at a programme organised by FNCCI Lumbini Province in Bhairahawa on Friday, Dhakal said the plan introduced by the government to boost confidence in the private sector is a positive step.
“We had long been demanding a concrete action plan for the protection and promotion of the private sector,” he said, adding that the government has addressed those concerns through the PSPP.
Dhakal also expressed gratitude to the government for responding to the private sector’s longstanding demands, noting that effective implementation of the plan would be crucial in strengthening the economy.
