Kathmandu, April 14: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has decided to increase social, cultural and commercial activities by prohibiting the entry of vehicles every Saturday from April 18.
Under the ‘Vehicle Free Asan’ program, vehicles will be banned from Kamalakshi Chowk to Asan, Bhotahiti Chowk to Asan, and Mahabouddha to Asan in KMC-27 every Saturday. Vehicles going to their destinations through this area will be provided with an alternative route.
The KMC has stated that it will develop this area as a heritage route and promote local traditional and indigenous trade and business.
KMC is preparing to hand over the responsibility of its operation and management to the Metropolitan Police Force. #nepal #rss
