ACC Premier One-Day Cricket: Nepal and Malaysia vie in Kirtipur today



Kathmandu, April 18: The ACC Men’s Premier Cup one-day cricket tournament will be played from today in Nepal. Two games are being played today on the opening day. One match each is going to be played at Mulpani ground and TU ground in Kathmandu.

The first match will be held between Nepal and Malaysia at the Kirtipur. Nepal is going to play a 50-over match against Malaysia for the first time at home.

Similarly, a match is being played between Hong Kong and Singapore at the Mulpani cricket ground. This match is the first international match to be held at Mulpani. Both matches will start at 9:30 am.

The tournament organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will be held from 5th to 18th of Baisakh. Ten different countries will participate in the competition. Participating countries are divided into two groups.

Group A includes host Nepal, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Oman. Group B consists of Bahrain, Kuwait, Singapore, Hong Kong and UAE. The winning team of the final match will qualify for the Asia Cup which will be held in September.
