ACC U-19: Nepal eliminated from the group stage after losing to India



Kathmandu, Dec 12: In the final group stage match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup, Nepal lost to India by 10 wickets. With the defeat, Nepal has been eliminated from the group stage of the Cup.

Chasing the small target of 53 runs given by Nepal, India completed its target in 7.1 overs. India’s Arshin Atul Kulkarni remained unbeaten on 43 runs off 30 balls with 1 four and 5 sixes. Adarsh Singh was not out for 13 runs.

None of the Nepal bowlers could take wickets.

Before that, Nepal, who lost the toss and were invited to bat at the ICC Academy Oval-2 ground in Dubai, scored 52 runs in 22.1 overs. None of the players from Nepal could score runs in double figures against India.

Hemant Dhami 8, Arjun Kumal 7, Deepak Bohora 7, Gulshan Jha 4, Dipesh Kandel 4, Subas Bhandari 2, Captain Dev Khanal 2, Akash Chand 4 and Deepak Bohora scored one run for Nepal. India gave extra 13 runs to Nepal.

For India, Raj Limwani took an excellent 7 wickets in 9.1 overs with 13 runs including three maidens. Similarly, Aradhya Shukla took two wickets while Arshin Atul Kulkarni took one wicket.

Nepal earlier lost to Pakistan and Afghanistan.
