Nawalparasi, Sept 28: All sluice gates of the Gandak Barrage have been opened due to alarming water current of the Narayani River- flooded in the wake of incessant rainfall.
Chief District Officer of Paschim Nawalparasi, Skim Shrestha, informed that all 36 gates of the barrage were opened to avoid risk from the flooded Narayani River.
The water current of the river is recorded at some 400 thousand cusec near Triveni now. The security bodies have been readied to avoid and minimize potential loss and damage. RSS #Nepal
