An attempt is being made to destroy the social structure of the country: Former King Shah

Kathmandu, April 3: Former King Gyanendra Shah has expressed the view that the people’s displeasure has increased towards the corruption seen in the country.

Shah said that he is aware of the people’s interest while addressing a Civic Reception held at Inaruwa in Sunsari district on Monday. During his speech, Shah said that he was serious about the concern and interest received from the people. He said that there cannot be stability and stability in the country without proper state system, peace and discipline.

By giving money, heart, position and status to some, they are trying to tear the unique social structure of Nepal by turning to greed, he said, “Emphasis should be placed on the protection of nationalism and national unity.” He was of the view that the present system of slurs and superficial changes, fluctuations and vacillations to show change cannot give any tangible results.

He further said, “There cannot be stability without proper state system, peace and discipline. Attempts are being made to destroy our social structure by enticing some with money, some with heart, some with position and some with status. To show the change, the current system of whipping and superficial changes, fluctuations and wobbles does not give any good results. Of course, we must protect nationalism and national unity.”

Surely we will protect our national self-respect, integrity and universal freedom and surely we will take the path of all-round development through peace, order and good governance, he said, “Therefore, not by being entangled in individuals, families, groups, parties or factions, we should now be able to convey the appropriate national concept of us and ours. Let the same national vision be awakened in everyone like you.”

A large crowd was there to see and listen former King Gyanendra. Security was very tight, and a large number of security personnel were deployed there. On the occasion, some former royal family members were also present there.
