APF hospital begins dialysis service for kidney patients



Kathmandu, May 14: Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) hospital in Kathmandu has has started dialysis service for kidney patients from from 27 Baisakh, 2080 BS.

Inspector General of Armed Police Force Raju Aryal inaugurated the new service at Nepal APF Hospital in Balambhu, Kathmandu on Wednesday.

On the same occasion, IG Aryal expressed his belief that the dialysis service, which started after the government of Nepal has decided to provide assistance in dialysis and kidney transplantation, will provide important support in the expansion and diversification of Nepal APF Hospital.

IG Aryal expressed his belief that by expanding the dialysis service in the hospital, armed police personnel, their dependents, family members of immortal armed police, retired armed police personnel and their families, local residents, and the general public and underprivileged citizens will get the service.

Chief and Deputy Inspector General of Nepal APF Hospital, Dr. Rupak Maharjan, said that dialysis services with 6 beds capacity are currently being operated in Nepal APF Hospital and other service facilities will be expanded in the coming days.

For operation of dialysis service, 4 dialysis machines have been received from Health Services Department and one dialysis machine from Shahid Dharmabhakta Human Organ Transplantation Center.

Additional Inspectors General of Armed Police, Chairman and Officers of Nepal Former Armed Police Association, Director General of Health Services Department, Mayor of Chandragiri Municipality, Armed Police Officers and soldiers were present in the event.
