Kathmandu, July 16: President of Nepal Ram Chandra Paudel has accepted the resignation of Attorney General Dr Dinmani Pokharel from his position today.
Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had appointed Dr Pokharel as the chief of the country’s highest law enforcement agency, Office of the Attorney General (OAG).
According to the constitution of Nepal, Prime Minister have the right to appoint, continue or dismiss Attorney General. After emerging the new government, it was wise to tender resignation immediately. The newly appointed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will appoint the Attorney General. #nepal #attorney
