Bagmati Province expands cabinet, total ministries reach 14

Hetauda, Nov 12: The Bagmati Province government has restructured its ministries. In a meeting of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers held today, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Cooperatives was reorganized, separating the Cooperatives sector to form a new Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation.

To implement this change, the government led by Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama has increased the total number of ministries in the province now reached 14.

The government spokesperson and Minister for Internal Affairs and Law, Suraj Chandra Lamichhane, informed that the portfolio for the new ministry will soon be assigned to Madhu Shrestha, a non-departmental minister. Madhu Shrestha is a provincial assembly member elected from the Nepali Congress, who had taken the oath as a non-departmental minister on Nepali month of Shrawan 9, 2081 BS. #nepal #bagmati #province
